Under the sponsorship of the Michigan City Public Library and the LaPorte County CETA Special Projects program in the 1970's, a collection of over 6000 historic photographs were copied onto 35mm slides. The informational booklet, Portable LaPorte County was also compiled as part of the project. The slides are housed in the Reference Department and are available for viewing.

Slide copy requests must be submitted in writing to:

check or money order - $5.00 per print
make checks or money orders payable to Michigan City Public Library

Walk-in customers - $5.00 per print

Handling/service fee must be paid at time of request submission.

Cost of copies must be paid when items are picked up.
