Julie and Ashleigh have been friends most of their lives.  Julie has come to reluctantly accept Ashleigh's strange ideas.  You see Ashleigh is what Julie calls an Enthusiast.  This means anything can quickly become an obsession.  A new rock band, horseback riding Julie has seen them all.  Now it seems Ashleigh has discovered the novels of Jane Austen.  She is convinced that they must find true gentlemen to be their suitors.  This means sneaking into the a school dance and riding into town just for the chance of meeting Ashleigh's true love.  Julie has her own problems, she has feeling for the same Mr. Darcy.
