From I-80/I-90 Indiana Toll Road:

  1.  Take the Michigan City/US-421 exit
  2.  Continue north on US-421/Franklin Street to 4th Street
  3.  Turn right onto 4th Street

From US-20 Westbound:

  1.  Continue from U.S. 20 onto US-35/E. Michigan Boulevard
  2.  Take US-35/E. Michigan Boulevard north to 4th Street
  3.  Turn left onto 4th Street
  4.  Continue 1 1/2 blocks to 100 E. 4th Street

  1.  Follow US-20 to US-421/Franklin Street
  2.  Turn right onto US-421/Franklin Street

From US-12 Westbound:

  1.  Take US-12 to Pine Street
  2.  Turn left onto Washington Street
  3.  Turn right onto 4th Street at the next stop sign.
  4.   Continue 1/2 block; parking lot is on right.

From US-12 Eastbound:

  1.  Take US-12 to Washington Street
  2.  Turn right onto Washington Street
  3.  Continue one block to 4th Street
  4.  Turn left onto 4th Street
  5.  Continue 1/2 block; parking lot is on left

  1.  Take the South Shore Railroad to the 11th Street Station in Michigan City
  2.  Go 1/2 block west to Franklin Street; turn right
  3.  Continue north on Franklin Street to 4th Street

By Bicycle

Cyclists can reach the library via Pine Street, which has dedicated bike lanes in both directions.  At the intersection of Pine and 4th Street, turn to the west. The library is one block down. Other suggested Michigan City biking routes are available at nirpc.org

Bike racks are available outside the front door of the library. Please bring a bike lock to secure your bicycle.
