Sudden Productions of Northwest Indiana has transformed the new musical by Dan Schaaf, ‘Belle!’, to a full length animation. The local premier of the animated feature film, Belle! The Murder Musical. Belle Gunness is the infamous murderer who operated in Laporte County, Indiana, luring mainly Norweigan bachelors with romantic letters and then killing them to gain their wealth. The history of the situation is murky, and this version take a slightly skewed view. The notorious Belle makes her grand appearance in this new, animated film that puts a new spin on a classic Laporte horror story.

‘Belle!’ received developmental readings at Canterbury Theatre, Michigan City, and Porchlight Theatre, Chicago.
